Standard terms are 1%10 Net 30 (Terms are at K-Wood’s discretion and may be changed at any time).

No Discounts are allowed if there are any past due amounts.

If an order has not been shipped within 60 days of the scheduled delivery date the invoice will be billed.

A Finance charge of 1 1/2% per month will be charged on invoices over 30 days.


Current updated plans are required for any work that requires layouts. All layouts will be drawn according to the plan. If there are changes to the plan, they must be indicated in writing, verbal changes are not accepted. It is your responsibility to make sure we are working with the most current plans. Changes in your order may affect your price and delivery date. You will be notified of any price or delivery date change.

Cancellation of Orders

Once an order has gone into production it cannot be cancelled. K-Wood produces all trusses per your order; we do not have “stock trusses”. Please bear in mind that your order may be built any time between when the order is placed and when the order is delivered. Cancellation of orders that have been engineered but not produced will be charged a minimum of 10%.


Please contact the office as soon as possible. If the order has been picked, or cut we will let you know what the charges would be in the event of a cancellation. If the order has been produced it cannot be canceled. Delivery dates may change.


No Returns are allowed without approval from the main office.

Yard pick up only for returns.

All returns must be made within 30 days of Billing Date

All returns will be subject to a Minimum 20% restocking charge

No returns accepted of special order product

Credit will be issued only after merchandise has been inspected and deemed to be in resalable condition.

Defective Merchandise

K-Wood’s ONLY obligation shall be to replace said defective product provided:

  • No alterations have been made to the product
  • K-Wood has been notified within 10 days of delivery
  • K-Wood has been given reasonable opportunity to inspect said defective materials
  • Material is proved defective
  • All credit requests must be pre-approved by K-Wood and must be submitted in writing within 30 days of delivery.

While every effort is made to design and produce accurate trusses, mistakes do happen. When they do, we want to respond quickly to minimize downtime. You can help minimize the time by responding with cooperation and communication. With that in mind it is very important to keep our designers and sales staff apprised of any changes or variations to plans in writing.

Prior to fabrication, shop drawings and layouts will be submitted to you. Please review these drawing and indicate any changes that need to be made.

It is the framer/contractor’s responsibility to verify that the trusses are correct before installing them. Each job comes with a job packet that contains information on installation and other pertinent data. Trusses cannot be cut or altered in any way without prior approval from a qualified engineer. Any cut or modification without approval voids all warranties and no credit will be issued for the trusses or it’s modifications.

K-Wood reserves the right to repair or replace trusses. We do not compensate for crane time or downtime. We will compensate for labor and materials needed to repair a truss ONLY if discussed and agreed to, in writing, by both parties prior to the repairs being made. If for any reason the framer/contractor installs trusses that do not match plan specifics, by that action they accept the trusses as is and no adjustments or settlements will be allowed except those needed to repair the trusses.

Shortage and pricing claims

Every effort is made to send you the correct quantities. Once a delivery has been made we count the pieces to verify that our tallies match. We will not be responsible for the security of goods once they have been delivered. Goods that have been verified upon delivery and are then misplaced or stolen will be replaced at customer’s expense.

All claims for shortage and pricing errors must be made in writing and postmarked within 10 days of delivery. We reserve the right to correct errors in extension of amounts, prices, etc.


K-Wood Truss Rafters, Inc shall not be liable for any injury, loss, or damage arising out of the use or the inability to use the product. Before using, the Buyer shall determine the suitability of the product for his/her intended use. The buyer assumes all risks and liability whatsoever in connection therewith.

Limited Warranty

K-Wood Truss Rafters, Inc. (the Seller) warrants for one (1) year from the manufactured date, that goods (roof and floor trusses, laminated poles and component openings manufactured by seller) shall be of fair and average quality in the trade and within the description of this contract and the Seller’s Shop Drawings, but in no case shall such Limited Warranty expand K-Wood Truss Rafters, Inc. scope of work beyond that specified in this contract. Any items not manufactured by Seller are warranted only as warranted by the manufacturer of such items, otherwise all such items are sold on an “AS IS” Basis. A Copy of such manufacturer’s application warranty and service undertaking (if any) will be furnished to the buyer upon request. The foregoing warranties are exclusive and are in lieu of all other warranties (whether written, oral or implied and including any regarding the merchantability or fitness for a particular purpose) not specified herein.  Respecting the contract between seller and buyer. Seller’s obligations and liability under this contract are limited to repair or replacement of the goods, at seller’s option. In no event shall the buyer be entitled to recover for incidental or consequential damages, including loss of profits, or other commercial loss.

This warranty does not apply if trusses have not been installed within 60 days of actual delivery to the customer.
